Overview

IBM have addressed a critical vulnerability affecting WebSphere Application Server products. Successful exploitation could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system with a specially crafted sequence of serialised objects.

What has been observed?

The WA SOC has not received any reports of exploitation of this vulnerability on Western Australian Government networks at the time of writing.
