Overview

Apple has released security updates for its latest versons in Safari, iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. A cyber threat actor could exploit some of these vulnerabilities to take control of an affected system.

What is vulnerable?

The vulnerability affects versions prior to the following lists of Apple products:

• Safari 17.5
• iOS 17.5 and iPadOS 17.5
• iOS 16.7.8 and iPadOS 16.7.8
• tvOS 17.5
• macOS Sonoma 14.5
• macOS Ventura 13.6.7
• macOS Monterey 12.7.5
• watchOS 10.5

What has been observed?

There is no evidence of exploitation affecting Western Australian Government networks at the time of publishing.

Recommendation

The WA SOC recommends administrators apply the solutions as per vendor instructions to all affected devices within expected timeframe of one month... (refer Patch Management):
