Android Security Advisory May 2024 - 20240514002¶
Overview¶
The Android Security Bulletin has released security advisory for the month of May 2024, which contains details of security vulnerabilities affecting Android devices. Security patch levels of 2024-05-05 or later address all of these issues. The most severe of these issues is a critical security vulnerability in the System component that could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed.

There is no evidence of exploitation affecting Western Australian Government networks at the time of publishing.

The WA SOC recommends administrators apply the solutions as per vendor instructions to all affected devices within expected timeframe of one month (refer Patch Management):
