Overview¶
A privilege escalation vulnerability in web component of Ivanti Connect Secure (9.x, 22.x) and Ivanti Policy Secure (9.x, 22.x) may allow an attacker to elevate privileges to that of an administrator.

What has been observed?¶
There is no evidence of exploitation affecting Western Australian Government networks at the time of publishing and Ivanti states that they 'have no evidence of any customers being impacted by CVE-2024-21888 at this time'.
Recommendation¶
The WA SOC recommends administrators apply the solutions as per vendor instructions to all affected devices within expected timeframe of 48 hours (refer Patch Management):
